…Accept the Things…

I don’t want to accept that part of aikido practice includes the fact that in every dojo there are practitioners who:

  • Ÿregularly forget to wash their gi,

  • Ÿrarely moderate their throws to match the level of their uke’s experience,

  • Ÿhave a need to constantly correct those of a lower rank – usually without being asked — and often in clear contrast to Sensei’s instruction.

Ÿ  I try to think of these as free bonuses… and learning to live with them as an important aspect of the practice.
