Enlightenment: One Dawn at a Time

I usually meditate in the early morning before the sun rises. When I first sit down on my cushion I am joined only by a candle, a stick of incense and the vaguest outline of my altar. As I sit, my room slowly appears. The sun greets the morning.

I wonder if this isn’t also some variation of how we ‘wake up’ in Buddhist terms.

The clouds of my being slowly part.
