Sword of No-Sword

The great sword Master Yamaoka Tesshu referred to his practice as the Three Ways of the Warrior.  They include the Way of the Sword, the Way of Zen, and the Way of the Brush.

As I work to translate these to the 21st century what comes to mind is the way of transcending natural barriers of personal beliefs and boundaries, the way of hard training and the way of ceaseless introspection.
